The Top Beach Clubs in Antalya in 2024 and Their Ideal Audiences
1. Mermerli Plajı – Best for Solo Travelers and Group Trip
This beach club is on every list for good reason. It is located right outside of Old Town, and is ridiculously convenient to walk to! Just take a stroll through the streets, through the garden, and down the steps to the beach. The club faces the marina, so you can watch the yachts float in over the crystal-clear water!
The beach itself is a mix of rock and sand with platforms for lounge chairs, tables, and umbrellas. There is a restaurant on site where you can relax on your lounger and order cold drinks, meals, or snacks hand delivered beachside. Feel free to have a swim in the Mediterranean Sea while you wait.
The Mermerli Plajı beach club is relatively small and it is the closest to old town, which means has a ton of traffic. The best tip is to get there on the earlier side, around 9am, to make sure you have the lounge chairs for your daycation. Otherwise, you might be waiting several hours before you can get a spot. Oh! It tends to clear out in the evenings after 5pm and is a great place to get your sunset Instagram photos!
Just so you have an idea for your budget – As of 2024, the entry price is 250TL (about $8 USD) per person and 1L of the local beer, Efes, is 180TL (about $5.50 USD). The entry fee includes sun lounger access, showers, and changing rooms. If you don’t want to bring a towel, you can rent one here for 100TL (about $3 USD)!
Pro Tip – Prices are always fluctuating based on High season (May to October) and Low season (November to April) and due to inflation. Try to haggle if you can!
Avoid this beach club if you are looking for snorkeling or other activities. There isn’t much in the way of fish or coral since it is so highly trafficked. Be aware that there may be glass and trash around… hey, people do that kind of thing for some reason – there are a lot of them here. Finally, this is not a luxury beach club or anything all inclusive…
2. Local’s Secret – Best for Off-Beat Travelers
Okay, hear me out, please. This is a super fun travel hack!
Turns out that Antalya has a thriving blue-water sailing/yachting community! And they have to swim somewhere… so here is the place. It is so secret and local that it doesn’t even have a name on Google Maps, so here are the coordinates – (36.85257293715798, 30.790473946098928). It is east of Duden Waterfalls, through the park, and just past the Beach Bar. Hang a right, walk down the driveway, and keep going down through the switchbacks to the swim platform!
There are no changing areas or sun loungers or showers… but it is FREE. If you want a drink, take a short swim along the cliffside to the Beach Bar and hang out there. The platform is pretty hot, so remember to bring shoes. Remember, this is a local experience and you might even run into a few yachties.
The platform doesn’t have railings, so I do not recommend families with small kids come here as it could be dangerous – though its a blast for kids ages 8 and up! It is full sun with no shade – which is perfect for tanning and sunburn. No watersports or activities here, so if you are looking for extreme sports please steer clear. Bring your own drinks.
3. Adlar Beach Club – Best for Couples Retreats
Adlar Beach Club is on the south side of old town and west of Karaalioğlu Park. Guess what? It is Adults Only! Kids ages 13 and under are not allowed, which makes it perfect for couples trying to get away from the crowds. This club is also seated on the cliffside with an incredibly private, romantic, and picturesque swimming zone. Be warned, to get here, you must climb a fair number of stairs.
For 250TL (about $8 USD) per person, you get access to your own set of lounge chairs, with an umbrella, for the day. There is a kitchen and cafe on site and they will totally bring your food and drinks to your chair if you want them to. Showers and changing rooms are included, but remember to bring your towel. Once you have your ticket, you can come and go as you please for the day – Perfect if you are staying at one of the nearby hotels.
Since this beach club is smaller and out of the way, there are chairs available pretty much all day every day. So, I highly recommend taking the public bus north of the park and walking through it to get to this club. After, you can walk into old town for some nightlife and shopping!
4. Bonus: Antalya’s Beach Club Zone – Best for Digital Nomads
All along the coast east of the Antalya Aquarium, you will find loads of clubs on a rocky beach! It is a lively zone at night and quiet during the day. Several coffee shops and restaurants dot the walk with indoor and outdoor zones. Each coffee shop and beach club has WIFI and power for you to use! This was our favorite place to catch up on emails is Coffee’s Cafe Antalya.
Best of all, you can get here super easily with Antalya’s Public Transportation system!
